Tuesday: City in Motion ❋ Campers discover what keeps Flagstaff running by visiting and learning from the people and places that support our city.
Wednesday: Art in the Park ❋ A midweek creative reset. Campers experiment with different art materials and techniques while creating outdoors, drawing inspiration from their surroundings and each week’s theme.
Thursday: Local Connections ❋ We explore Flagstaff’s local businesses, studios, and makers to learn how creativity, entrepreneurship, and community intersect in real life.
Friday: Fabulous Farms ❋ We end the week with hands-on experiences in gardens and farms, learning about food systems, stewardship, and where our food comes from, while reflecting on the week together.

Each camp day follows a consistent rhythm designed to help children feel grounded, supported, and excited about what’s ahead.
9:00–9:45am ❋ Morning Arrival & Connection
We begin each morning at Pine Forest with outdoor play, a bathroom break, and time to settle in. Campers gather for a group circle to talk about the day ahead and enjoy a morning snack together.
10:00am–12:00pm ❋ Community Exploration
Most mornings are spent out and about on our daily field trip. We explore Flagstaff through visits to local organizations, outdoor spaces, and community partners. We typically return in time for lunch, with the occasional picnic along the way.
12:00–1:00pm ❋ Lunch & Reset
Campers take a bathroom break and enjoy lunch together, followed by a short transition time to reset after a busy morning.
1:00–2:00pm ❋ Quiet Time & Hand Work
Afternoons slow down with quiet activities and hands-on projects that reflect and extend the themes we’re exploring throughout the week.
2:00–3:00pm ❋Reflection & Closing Circle
We end each day with a group circle to reflect on our experiences, share stories, and connect with one another before playing outside and heading home.

Why This Policy Exists
We are a small program that plans staffing, transportation, supplies, and partnerships based on enrollment. This policy allows us to serve families well and maintain high-quality programming.
Is FCE worth the investment?
FCE isn’t the cheapest summer camp in town and, as parents and business owners, we’re thoughtful about that. Our pricing reflects small group sizes, experienced educators, and a curriculum built around creativity, place, and meaningful connection. We believe summer should nourish kids, not just keep them busy. If you’re looking for a camp where your child is known, engaged, and deeply connected to Flagstaff, FCE is worth the investment. Please check out our FAQ page for additional information.
