Children in 1st- 5th grade can immerse themselves in exploring their community and artistry with our month-long Creative Connection sessions, featuring four engaging classes designed for deeper learning and local discovery. Every session includes field trips into Flagstaff and nature walks out on our beautiful trails to co-create a deeper understanding and hands on learning. 

Creative Connections

  • Intended for: 1st-5th grade students

    Level: All skill levels

    When: Four Wednesday or Friday afternoons, 1 pm-4:30 pm

    Fee: $250 per student

  • Immerse yourself in creativity with our month-long Creative Connection art sessions, featuring four engaging classes designed for deeper learning and exploration. Each session will allow our children to explore and engage with the world around them through place based learning. Children will grow as individuals & community members all while honing in on their artistic journey.

    Every month we focus on a specific medium, allowing participants to dive deep into their craft. Alongside our classes, we organize a community-based field trip and a hike, integrating the beauty of nature with your artistic journey.

    To celebrate your progress, we conclude each session with a small art exhibition that parents are encouraged to attend, showcasing the creations of our talented participants. Join us to build skills, connect with others, and unleash your creativity!

  • Location: 742 N. Bertrand Street, Flagstaff, AZ, 86001

    Hours of Operation: Wednesday or Friday, 1pm-4:30pm 

    What is Included: 1 snack per class is included with tuition. 

    Snack will be provided at approximately 2:00 pm each class. 

    Ratios: There will be one qualified teacher and an assistant per every 12 children

    • Introductions/ discussion while making sketchbooks

    • Happenings of the class

    • Leave for community exploration (field trip)

    • Art making

    • Return to the FCE Studio between 4:00-4:15pm

    • Closing ritual with friends 

    • Play outside

    Parent pick up @ 4:30pm

  • *** If you have multiple children enrolled, the second sibling is 10% off *** 

    Tuition is $250 per session (4 classes)*. Tuition helps to support equitable teacher wages, facilities and vehicle insurance, snack, travel, material supplies and all activity fees. 

    We are a registered ESA vendor for those who are homeschooling their children. Please see our FAQ page for more information.

    *Depending on the way you choose to pay for classes, additional processing fees may be added.

When will Creative Connections return?

All classes are currently on hiatus as FCE staff work toward becoming a nonprofit.
